During it's first eleven years, Inverness Christian Academy opened it's programs only to home educated students who were members of Fort Cooper Baptist Church. The true desire of the current administration and school board is to be of help to each home educator within our community. We believe that the home is responsible for the education, training, and upbringing of their child. Therefore, we are one hundred percent supportive of families who choose to home educate their children. We also understand that some home school parents may need help, or simply want to take advantage of some school programs for their children, without compromising their Christian teaching and values. This is why God has laid it on the hearts of our administration and school board to open such a program back in 2011. Christian families who currently home educate their children will be able to participate in the following programs of ICA:
- Individual Classes / Electives (both elementary and middle/high school)
- Athletic Teams (6th-12th grades)
- Field Trips (according to grade level)
- Stanford 10 Achievement Testing
- OLSAT 8 School Ability Testing
- Dramatic Productions
- Academic Record-Keeping
- Senior Trip (12th grade)
- Graduation with ICA Kindergarten or Seniors
Registration for the home school program will be $50, plus the fees for each activity listed above. The fees can be found on the registration document. Download the registration documents HERE. |
